SEVERNSIDE ENERGY RECYLING CENTRE
Massey Cladding – Severnside Energy Recovery Centre
In July 2014 Massey Cladding was awarded the contract to work with Sir Robert McAlpine on the new Severnside Energy Recovery Centre in South Gloucestershire.
The plant, costing £1.4bn will eventually produce 34MW of electricity from 300,000 tonnes of municipal waste, enough to power 50,000 homes.
Massey Cladding will provide the envelope package for the building. This consists of the roof, a built up wall system and the glazing.
G6 have provided Massey Cladding with 20 Hytera TC-610 rugged, VHF portable radios, multi chargers and speaker microphones, along with an operating licence for the site. These will be used to improve communication and co-ordination and, critically, to enhance the safety of the workforce.
Jenni Brotherton, Project Manager for Massey Cladding said: “G6 were very helpful. The response we received from Andrew was prompt and he provided an excellent service. The radios have been reliable and have met all our site requirements”.
